-ANREALAGE-
The brand name "ANREALAGE" means [A REAL - everyday life], [UN REAL - non-everyday life], and [AGE - era]. The design is inspired by the unrealistic everyday life in everyday life and the small twists that are easy to overlook. The brand proposes styles from various angles, including details and atmosphere. Designer Kunihiko Morinaga said, "I view clothes and shows in a four-dimensional way. I do shows because I want to create that four-dimensional space," and he believes that "God resides in the details." The brand's collection is characterized by colorful and intricate patchwork, clothes with original shapes that are not limited by the human body, and a collection that actively incorporates the latest technology.
-Designer: Kunihiko Morinaga-
ANREALAGE was founded in 2003. In 2005, he won the SENKEN Ash Grand Prize at IFF, and later won the Avant-Garde Grand Prize at the GEN ART 2005 new designer competition held in New York. Since Spring/Summer 2015, he has been presenting his collections at Paris Fashion Week. In March 2019, he was selected as a finalist for the LVMH Prize, established by LVMH MOET HENNESSY LOUIS VUITTON. In addition, in September 2019, he won the Grand Prize at the 37th Mainichi Fashion Awards.
-2021SS season theme: "HOME"-
ANREALAGE's Spring/Summer 2021 theme is "HOME." One of the sources of inspiration was hermit crabs. Hermit crabs fit into the shells of snails, and as they grow larger, they must find another, larger shell. In that case, is the snail shell a "home" or clothing? The collection notes state, "It seems like it could be both, and it seems like it could be neither, and I wanted to transpose that ambiguity into clothing." As these words suggest, Kunihiko Morinaga's goal for Spring/Summer 2021 was "Clothes like a home. A home like clothes."
The shoes in the 2021 Spring/Summer collection are a collaboration with Spingle. They are futuristic shoes made of clear material.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Spring/Summer collection was presented in the form of a digital show during Paris Fashion Week. Former Keyakizaka46 member Hirate Yurina was tasked with opening the show, and show music was provided by Sakanaction's Yamaguchi Ichiro and others.
