This model uses Velcro tape and looks different to the shoelace type. The fit can be adjusted to match the foot.

A three-strap design, simple and unmistakable.
What sets the SP-211 apart is the three-strap hook-and-loop, found nowhere else. Simple, but it stands out, and it gives your outfit a clear accent at the feet. Retro air, classic lines, a best seller since the brand's early days.
Built to your foot, steady and easy to move in.
The hook-and-loop is easy on and off and easy to set. Three points hold the instep to your shape and width, so a long walk or a day standing stays comfortable. Stress-free, even on a busy day.
Cowhide that becomes your own with wear.
It settles along your foot the more you wear it, until the fit is yours alone. That is part of cowhide: it grows into your shoe. It is built sturdy, too. Plenty of people wear nothing else and have for years.
90 years of skill, and a sole you can repair.
We have built shoes in Fuchu City, Hiroshima since 1933, adjusting the last and pattern to fit the Japanese foot. The wave sole cushions, flexes, and lasts, and it can be repaired. A serious pair you'll still reach for every day. That is what comes of making it by hand ourselves in Fuchu.
